From oceanfront celebrations and celebrated LA restaurants to neighborhood bakeries and Thanksgiving sides worth bringing home, here's how Los Angeles is serving the holiday.

With five out-of-town guests joining us for Thanksgiving this year, I've been thinking about how we want to spend the day. I'm vegetarian, our guests have different food preferences, and cooking an elaborate turkey dinner isn't particularly high on my list. So we've booked a table at Baar Baar, a contemporary Indian restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. Good food, everyone around one table, and no mountain of dishes waiting at home. I'm looking forward to it.

But planning our own Thanksgiving got me thinking about how many ways there are to celebrate in LA. You could enjoy a traditional feast at a neighborhood restaurant, make an occasion of it at a beautiful hotel, or have a chef prepare the entire meal for your own dining table.

And perhaps you're perfectly happy cooking the turkey but would rather leave the pies, stuffing or mashed potatoes to someone else. I can understand that, too.

For Thursday, November 26, 2026, we've gathered some of the more interesting Thanksgiving offerings around Los Angeles, including menus and information shared directly by restaurants. We've paid particular attention to holiday hours, prices, dietary options and ordering deadlines, because finding a wonderful menu is only useful if you can actually enjoy it at the time you want.

Thanksgiving at Some of LA's Favorite Restaurants

Los Angeles has no shortage of restaurants that know how to make an occasion feel special. The choices this Thanksgiving range from neighborhood favorites serving familiar holiday dishes to elaborate hotel dinners where the setting is almost as memorable as the food.

Redbird, Downtown Los Angeles

If you've never dined at Redbird, Thanksgiving offers an opportunity to experience one of Downtown LA's more distinctive restaurant spaces. Chef Neal Fraser's restaurant occupies the former rectory of Vibiana, with an atmosphere that feels particularly suited to a gathering. The three-course holiday menu gives diners some welcome flexibility. Alongside turkey roulade, choices include black cod, roasted strip loin and honeynut squash with wild rice, mustard greens and shiitake XO. Starters include kabocha pumpkin soup and pear salad, with desserts such as pumpkin custard tart and apple-cranberry galette.

For larger family celebrations, Redbird also has private dining options for 12–40 guests, with a separate family-style menu.

Thanksgiving details: $125 per person for the three-course dinner; $150 per person for private family-style dining. Tax and service additional. Seatings run 1–7 p.m.

Address: 114 E. 2nd Street, Downtown LA.

Vegetarian and vegan guests should confirm the ingredients and available courses when reserving.

BOA Steakhouse, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica and West Hollywood

BOA is taking a traditional approach to Thanksgiving, with roast turkey, prime rib and salmon as the main-course choices. But the shared sides may be just as appealing: herb-roasted potatoes, brioche stuffing, honey-glazed carrots, green beans and mashed yams with pecans and marshmallows. The meal begins with butternut squash soup and mixed greens and finishes with pumpkin or a chocolate pie.

Having a Manhattan Beach location is particularly convenient for South Bay families who want a special meal without spending part of the holiday driving across LA.

There is one important detail for vegetarian diners. The restaurant's regular-menu Beyond Steak Frites and vegetarian or gluten-free side options may not part of the Thanksgiving prix fixe. This is primarily a menu for guests choosing meat or fish, so confirm alternatives before reserving.

Thanksgiving details: $119 per person; $59 for children 12 and under. Service runs 1–8 p.m. at the Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica and West Hollywood locations.

M.B. Post, Manhattan Beach

At $80 per person, M.B. Post offers a welcome alternative to some of LA's more elaborate—and expensive—Thanksgiving dinners. Chef David LeFevre's Manhattan Beach restaurant is known for its contemporary American cooking and lively dining room. Its Thanksgiving offering includes a three-course prix fixe, an amuse-bouche and an optional wine pairing.

The earlier seating window makes this a particularly good choice for families who prefer Thanksgiving lunch or an afternoon meal, perhaps followed by a walk around downtown Manhattan Beach.

Thanksgiving details: $80 per person, with reservations from noon–5:30 p.m.

Address: 1142 Manhattan Avenue, Manhattan Beach.

The Arthur J, Manhattan Beach

If a fixed Thanksgiving menu isn't your idea of a relaxing dinner, The Arthur J offers a little more freedom. Another David LeFevre restaurant, this Manhattan Beach steakhouse is serving Thanksgiving specials alongside its regular dinner menu. That means you can enjoy the holiday dishes without everyone at the table necessarily ordering the same type of meal.

The herb-roasted Diestel Farms turkey dinner, with wild rice and sage stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce, is $55. Butternut squash soup and green bean casserole are $15 each, while pumpkin and Dutch apple pies are $14 per slice. The à la carte format is especially appealing for guests who enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal but don't necessarily want three or four courses.

Thanksgiving details: Seatings begin at noon on November 26. The final seating time hasn't been published, so check directly if you're planning an evening dinner.

Address: 903 Manhattan Avenue, Manhattan Beach.

Mar'sel at Terranea, Rancho Palos Verdes

Thanksgiving with a Pacific Ocean backdrop? There's something very Southern California about that.

At Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Mar'sel is offering a three-course celebration accompanied by ocean views and live entertainment. Chef Fabio Ugoletti's menu includes turkey, braised short ribs, Chilean sea bass and a plant-based cabbage preparation with truffled mushroom stuffing. First-course choices include porcini risotto and butternut squash soup, while desserts arrive family-style.

This is one of the more expensive options, but for visiting family or a special celebration, the setting is a large part of the experience.

Thanksgiving details: $220 per adult; $70 for children ages 5–12, excluding tax and gratuity. Dinner runs 2–7 p.m.

Address: Terranea Resort, 100 Terranea Way, Rancho Palos Verdes.

THE Blvd at Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills

Thanksgiving menus aren't always particularly imaginative when it comes to vegetarian dining. At THE BLVD, however, there's a clearly identified vegan main course: roasted cauliflower with vadouvan and coconut curry. The three-course menu also includes pumpkin and ricotta agnolotti and poached pear salad among its vegetarian starters. Other main-course choices include turkey, braised short rib and halibut.

Located at the Beverly Wilshire, the restaurant offers the kind of polished hotel dining that can turn a family gathering into an occasion. Live music adds to the atmosphere earlier in the day. For tables with different dietary preferences, this is an interesting option, although diners should still review the complete menu before booking.

Thanksgiving details: $195 per adult; $65 for children ages 6–12. A 20% holiday gratuity is added automatically, and some dishes have supplements. Service runs noon–9 p.m., with live music noon–4 p.m.

Address: 9500 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills.

Spago, Beverly Hills

If you're going to turn Thanksgiving into a grand dining occasion, Wolfgang Puck's Spago certainly understands the assignment.

The Beverly Hills institution is serving a four-course family-style feast with roasted turkey breast, stuffed turkey leg and traditional accompaniments. There will be live music, and dessert comes from Chef Della's Pie Shop. It's one of the most lavishly priced experiences on our list, and the family-style format is particularly suited to diners who want the full Thanksgiving celebration rather than a quick holiday meal.

Thanksgiving details: $245 per adult; $145 for children ages 10 and under, excluding tax, gratuity and beverages. Seatings run 2–7 p.m.

Address: 176 N. Canon Drive, Beverly Hills.

Guests needing vegetarian accommodations should inquire before reserving.

Carbon Beach Club, Malibu

Malibu offers a very different Thanksgiving backdrop from a traditional dining room, and Carbon Beach Club at Malibu Beach Inn makes the most of its oceanfront setting. Its three-course dinner includes choices such as radicchio salad or lobster bisque, followed by roasted turkey, prime rib or bucatini with Dungeness crab. Pumpkin pie and panna cotta complete the meal.

Unlike several restaurants offering Thanksgiving lunch or afternoon seatings, Carbon Beach Club's service extends into the evening. That makes it worth considering if you want to spend the day outdoors before sitting down to dinner. The published main-course choices feature meat or seafood, so vegetarian guests should check for alternatives.

Thanksgiving details: $110 per guest, with service from 4–9 p.m.

Address: 22878 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu.

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena

For families who enjoy the tradition of Thanksgiving at a grand hotel, The Langham Huntington in Pasadena offers several ways to celebrate. At The Royce, the four-course dinner includes dishes such as chestnut and apple velouté, honey-brined turkey breast and prime filet with truffled scalloped potatoes. The Terrace has its own four-course holiday dinner, with choices including acorn squash soup and turkey breast with mashed potatoes and baby carrots.

The hotel also offers Thanksgiving buffet experiences, giving larger families another option to explore.

Thanksgiving details: The Royce serves dinner 3:30–8 p.m., at $230 per adult and $85 per child under 11. The Terrace serves dinner 6–9 p.m., at $145 per adult, with a special children's menu. Prices exclude tax; a 20% gratuity is added.

Address: The Langham Huntington, 1401 S. Oak Knoll Avenue, Pasadena.

Baar Baar, Downtown Los Angeles

Our Thanksgiving choice this year is a departure from turkey and stuffing. Baar Baar, Chef Sujan Sarkar's contemporary Indian restaurant in Downtown LA, is where we've reserved a table for our visiting family. Its inventive approach to Indian food and lively cocktail program make it a very different sort of holiday gathering.

As a vegetarian, I appreciate having a celebration that doesn't revolve entirely around a traditional turkey dinner. And with everyone visiting from out of town, I'd much rather spend our time together than be occupied with preparing and cleaning up after a large meal.

Los Angeles is a city of extraordinary culinary variety. Thanksgiving can be an opportunity to enjoy that rather than feeling obliged to follow one particular menu.

If you're considering Baar Baar, confirm the Thanksgiving service arrangements and menu directly before booking. Regular-menu availability should not be assumed.

Address: 705 W. 9th Street, Downtown LA.

Prefer Thanksgiving at Home? Let Someone Else Handle the Cooking

Not everyone wants to dine out on Thanksgiving. Some of the nicest celebrations happen around a familiar dining table, with family coming and going, children helping themselves to dessert, and no need to rush through a restaurant seating. But hosting doesn't have to mean preparing every dish from scratch. Los Angeles has some excellent options for complete holiday dinners, as well as breads, sides and desserts that make home entertaining considerably easier.

Pasjoli, Santa Monica

Chef Dave Beran's French bistro offers an appealing middle ground: a restaurant-quality Thanksgiving dinner served at home. Pasjoli's family-style offering includes roasted turkey breast and turkey leg confit, Herbes de Provence stuffing, black truffle gravy, cranberry sauce, pommes purée, haricots verts casserole and cornbread with honey butter. Apple crumble and pumpkin Basque cheesecake complete the meal.

Everything arrives chilled with reheating instructions, allowing you to handle the final preparation and presentation yourself. The dinner is sold as a complete package. However, Pasjoli is also offering a limited number of whole pumpkin burnt Basque cheesecakes for $95 each, serving 8–12 guests.

Price: $125 per person, plus a 20% service charge.

Pickup: Wednesday, November 25, 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at 2732 Main Street, Santa Monica. Pickup only; no delivery.

Clementine, Century City

Clementine is the sort of neighborhood kitchen that can be especially useful when you're hosting but only need help with a few dishes.

Perhaps you're making the main course but would happily outsource the mashed potatoes. Or you need a good macaroni and cheese, rolls and a pie. Clementine lets you order individual items rather than committing to an entire meal.

Mashed potatoes are $18.50 per quart, serving approximately 4–5. Vegetarian macaroni and cheese is $38 for 4–5, Parker House rolls are $8 for six, and a nine-inch pumpkin pie is $38, serving 6–8. Vegan choices include grilled vegetables and autumn couscous.

One detail worth knowing: Clementine's sage, apple and mushroom stuffing is basted with turkey juices. Despite the vegetables in its name, it is not vegetarian.

Order by: Saturday, November 21, or earlier if capacity is reached.

Pickup: November 24–25, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., by appointment, at 1751 Ensley Avenue. No holiday delivery.

Huckleberry, Santa Monica

If there's one thing that can improve a Thanksgiving table with relatively little effort, it's having really good bread and dessert. Huckleberry's holiday selection includes breads from Milo + Olive, cornbread, brioche rolls and buttermilk biscuits. There are also savory additions such as vegan spinach-artichoke dip, mashed potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, and blistered haricots verts. For dessert, choices include pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie and apple tarte tatin.

It's a particularly good resource if you're contributing to someone else's Thanksgiving meal and want to arrive with something more interesting than a bottle of wine.

Order by: Thursday, November 19, at 6 p.m.

Pickup: Thanksgiving Day at 1014 Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica. Confirm available pickup times when ordering.

Follow Your Heart, Canoga Park

For anyone planning a fully plant-based Thanksgiving, Follow Your Heart offers more than a collection of vegetable side dishes.

The holiday menu includes complete vegan feasts and individual choices such as veggie pot pie, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cashew macaroni and cheese, green beans and mushroom gravy. Vegan pumpkin pies start at $25, with additional pies and gluten-free options.

This can also be useful for mixed-diet families. Rather than expecting a vegan guest to assemble dinner from whatever sides happen to be suitable, you can order a satisfying main course and accompaniments specifically for them.

Order by: Friday, November 20.

Pickup: November 24, noon–8 p.m.; November 25, 9 a.m.–8 p.m.; or Thanksgiving Day, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Address: 21825 Sherman Way, Canoga Park.

Don't Forget the Gourmet Grocery Stores

Restaurants and bakeries aren't the only places offering holiday help. Los Angeles grocery stores have become increasingly useful for hosts who want a complete prepared dinner, a smaller meal or simply a few sides.

Gelson's

Gelson's has options for different household sizes, which is helpful if you're not entertaining a large crowd. Its turkey dinners are priced at $65 for two, $199 for up to eight and $299 for up to twelve. There are also ham, brisket and prime rib options. For a meat-free alternative, Gelson's offers an Impossible meatloaf meal for up to four at $70, with Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and baklava. You can also order separate proteins and sides to supplement what you're already preparing. Check the ingredients if you're catering to vegetarians. Some side-dish packages include turkey gravy.

Order by: November 24.

Pickup: November 20–29, subject to store hours and collection availability.

Bristol Farms

For those of us in the South Bay, Bristol Farms is a convenient option, with prepared Thanksgiving meals and sides available through its Kitchen ordering service. Pickup locations include Manhattan Beach, at 1570 Rosecrans Avenue, and Rolling Hills Estates, at 837 Silver Spur Road, along with Westchester, Santa Monica and other stores.

The selection includes fully cooked meals, meats, sides and desserts. Choose your preferred location first, since pricing and available items may vary. One detail worth checking when ordering: Bristol Farms has separate Kitchen and Meat & Seafood ordering sections. If you're looking for fully prepared food, select Kitchen rather than uncooked products.

Prepared-food delivery is available in eligible areas for an additional $24.99.

A Few Things Worth Checking Before You Book or Order

Thanksgiving menus aren't always the same as a restaurant's regular offerings, and the published service times can be surprisingly different. Some restaurants serve from noon, while others begin their holiday dinner service much later. Before reserving, confirm the menu and seating time, especially if your group includes vegetarians, vegans or anyone with dietary restrictions. Vegetable dishes may contain meat-based stock or gravy, and regular-menu favorites may not be available.

For take-home meals, the practical details matter just as much. Check whether the food arrives chilled, how much refrigeration space it requires, and how long it needs in the oven. A complete meal for eight is wonderful until you discover that everything requires reheating at once. And if you're happy cooking most of the meal, there's no need to outsource everything. A beautiful pie, excellent bread or a couple of prepared sides may be all the help you need.

For our family, Thanksgiving will mean Indian food, a restaurant table and time with our visitors. Whatever you choose, there's something rather nice about making the holiday your own.
