Wellness, Simplified.

At Green Sea Shells, wellness isn’t a trend we follow — it’s a way of paying attention. It lives in our rituals, our meals, our quiet pauses, and the small choices we make every day. It’s cultural, physical, emotional, and seasonal — sometimes all at once.
This magazine was born out of my personal search for what feels good, grounding, and real — as someone who grew up in India and has spent decades living in the U.S., shaped not just by heritage, but by experience, community, and curiosity. My wellness doesn’t belong to one place. It’s drawn from many — and maybe yours is too.
Here, we explore the layered nature of wellness:
-
A pot of soup made with ingredients your grandmother might’ve used.
-
A walk taken slowly, without your phone.
-
A stretch that brings breath back into your chest.
-
A tea ritual passed through three cultures.
-
A scientific study that helps explain what your body already knew.
-
A small weekend trip that resets everything.
Our Mission
To explore wellness as something whole:
-
Mind and body
-
Modern and ancestral
-
Global and personal
We publish content that’s thoughtful, honest, and rooted in the idea that wellness doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be meaningful. You’ll find:
-
Stories about mental and emotional health, including encouragement, stress, rituals, and resilience
-
Reflections on nutrition and longevity, especially plant-based, gut-friendly, and anti-inflammatory approaches that respect cultural foodways
-
Explorations of slow, restorative travel that centers presence over performance
-
And rituals — both everyday and sacred — that give shape to a more intentional life
Editorial Standards
Our articles are written and edited by real humans. We may use AI tools for clarity or structure, but never for replacing voice, perspective, or experience. We prioritize:
-
Accuracy, especially when discussing wellness, nutrition, and science
-
Cultural sensitivity and credit — we honor, we don’t appropriate
-
Depth over trendiness, and curiosity over certainty
-
The belief that ordinary things are worth noticing
For Contributors
We welcome writers who think deeply and write honestly. You might be a nutritionist, a cultural observer, a social scientist, or simply someone who’s lived something and wants to share it.
If your perspective is layered — shaped by place, migration, memory, or personal practice — we’d love to hear from you.
Affiliate Relationships & Sponsorships
Green Sea Shells occasionally includes affiliate links (e.g. Amazon, Expedia) and may partner with brands whose values align with our own. We always disclose these relationships clearly. Our editorial voice is independent — no one tells us what to say.
Corrections
We’re not aiming for perfection, but we do care about getting it right. If something feels off, outdated, or incomplete — reach out. We’ll review and revise with transparency.
