Breaking Silence: South Asian Mental Health Gala 2023 in Los Angeles, CA

In South Asian cultures, societal norms and expectations have historically deterred honest and open conversations about mental health. People are often afraid of being judged and there is a lot of pressure to conform to pre-defined societal ideas of success and achievement.

The South Asian Health Awareness Society (SAHAS) in Los Angeles is committed to changing this narrative, so when they reached out to share the scoop on their upcoming South Asian Mental Health Gala 2023 , we just had to find a way to share it with all of you.

This event is dedicated to breaking the silence around mental health in the South Asian community. It is set to take place on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 6:30 pm on a private rooftop at Santa Monica Promenade in Southern California. It is open to ALL so buy your tickets and support this important cause.

What to Expect

The gala will feature over 175 participants, a Community Mental Health Panel, cultural performances, Desi tapas, cocktails, a South Asian guest speaker, and VIP gift bags. SAHAS aims to destigmatize mental health challenges in the South Asian community and encourage open conversations.

Why SAHAS Matters
